Electrician

Meet Anne Marie Fergusson, an electrician working in the Olympic Park

What do you do?

“I am an electrical apprentice. My job entails anything to do with the temporary electrics on the site.”

When did you start working on the Olympic site?

“I began work here at the beginning of 2009. I spend one day a week at college and four days working on the site. When you just work on the theory side the ‘dots’ don’t always connect, but when you get the practical experience those ‘dots’ start connecting – it starts to make sense.”

What do you like about working on the Olympic Site?

“My training course has been wicked and I have a great tutor. Working on the site is an added bonus, especially because I work with a wonderful bunch of people. The Games only come along once in a lifetime and have given me what I needed – a job!”
