Want a chance to be in the Olympic Park on Opening Ceremony night? Tell us who you are supporting!
Support a team
18 Jan 2012
Which teams will you be supporting in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games?
In November, we launched the ‘Support a Team’ element of ‘Get Set goes global’ through which we’re encouraging schools to support Olympic and Paralympic teams from around the world in the lead-up to the London 2012 Games. Schools can obviously follow as many teams as they like (54 is the record to date!) but we want them to become official supporters of one Olympic team and one Paralympic team. Schools can tell us using the interactive map on the Get Set goes global web pages.
As an additional incentive, primary and secondary schools that tell us which teams they are supporting will be in with the chance of receiving access to some really exciting opportunities, including the chance to come and support their chosen team in the Olympic Park on the day of the Olympic Opening Ceremony!
The Get Set goes global web pages , and in particular the interactive map, offer a host of information to help schools to find out more about their chosen teams, including where they may be training in the lead-up to the London 2012 Games, and a series of films explaining what happens at a Pre-Games Training Camp.
