Young Games Makers coming soon!
8 Sep 2011

Has your team got what it takes to make the Games happen?

We are looking for over 2,000 Young Games Makers to volunteer during the London 2012 Games. If your school or college would like to get involved in the greatest show on earth next summer, read on.

Young Games Makers will help make the Games happen and will take on roles in a number of LOCOG teams, from Athletics to Sitting Volleyball and Aquatics.

Roles will range from Print Distribution Team Members, who will be responsible for distributing athlete results to the right officials around the venue, to Athlete Kit Team Members, who will carry athletes’ kit on to the field of play in front of a crowd of spectators.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young people to get involved in the Games – while learning new skills, gaining experience and making new friends.

We want young volunteers to have a fantastic experience and be well cared for, so we’re recruiting for teams of Young Games Makers, headed by a team leader who already works with them.

If you are in a leadership role at your school or college and would like to put forward a team of young volunteers then find out more.

Applications will be open from 22 September 2011.
