As a reward for taking part in the Communication Triathlon, Percy Hedley school in Newcastle was presented with their Get Set network plaque by Liz Johnson, 100m Breaststroke gold medal winner at the 2008 Paralympic Games.
The students really enjoyed meeting Liz and the Get Set network plaque now has pride of place in the school.
As a member of the Get Set network, Percy Hedley school have the right to use the London 2012 Education logo on their school/college sign, headed paper, website and newsletters and they are able to access exclusive opportunities – they get first refusal on all the great things that London 2012 has to offer to children and young people.
