‘London 2012…it’s everyone’s business’ is an enterprise challenge which uses the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) as a case study.
The focus for the enterprise challenge is the organisation behind the staging of the London 2012 Games – The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG.)
The ‘new It’s everyone’s business’ film shows how LOCOG staff have to work together as a team to deliver the London 2012 Games and acts as a starting point for the challenge.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the biggest peace-time event on the planet with an estimated one billion viewers watching the opening ceremony alone. ‘London 2012… it’s everyone’s business’ demonstrates to the children the importance of team work in any successful enterprise – from one as big and as famous as the Games to a special event in your own school or community.
There are a range of materials and detailed teacher guidance notes available. The challenge is taylored for students from age 7-19 years old.
