Parkstone Grammar School has been selected as the Get Set network school of the month!
Parkstone Grammar School (Poole, South West England) has been leading its ‘family’ of 8 Primary Schools in a range of events and activities linked to the Olympic and Paralympic Values. Sports Leaders and Young Ambassadors have organised and delivered a range of festivals and tournaments for over 1000 pupils. They have covered a wide range of sports including Football, Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming and Badminton. They have also lead activities in lifesaving, dance, street soccer, netball and golf. Students from Parkstone Grammar school also took part in the ‘Move It, Move It’ World Record attempt for the number of people dancing simultaneously. Sports leaders from the school led the performance.
Parkstone Grammar school is very proud to have been selected as the ‘Get Set network school of the month’.
The school was selected on the basis of an outstanding blog post describing the activities that the students have been involved in. The school will receive a letter of congratulations from Seb Coe, Chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and they have won a visit from an athlete as a reward for their efforts.
