Walk once a week!
In October, over 25,000 pupils from 355 schools across London took part in a three week long mass relay event. A baton travelled through each borough of London travelling anticlockwise from Havering to Greenwich. The official 1948 Olympic torch also featured at different stages of the relay bringing a piece of history to the young people of London.
This was part of the Big WoW, a year-round walking promotion scheme. It encourages parents and pupils to walk to school at least once a week throughout the school year.
