The mascots continue their journey around the UK!
28 Jun 2010
The Olympic mascot, Wenlock, visited Dundonald Primary School last week! The school won the opportunity after by revamping their sports day to incorporate the Olympic and Paralympic Values and making the day more inclusive. Students were recognised for showing any of the Values, not just winning the race or event, and earned points for their House.
Over the next few weeks all the schools that won a visit from one of the London 2012 mascots through the ‘Get Set to meet the mascots’ competition will have the chance to meet Wenlock or Mandeville.
At Dundonald Primary, Wenlock joined a whole school asembly and presented students with Values certificates for living one or more of the Olympic and Paralympic Values during sports day.
They will also be taking part in sports festivals, learning judo, cricket, cheering on dance performances, making lots of new friends and lots more, as they visit communities up and down the UK!
You can follow their journeys at london2012.com/mascots. And you can be their friend on Facebook and follow them on Twitter too!
