There are only a few weeks left to submit your application for a Who Do We Think We Are? grant!
£500 grants up for grabs for citizenship activities linked to the Games!
22 Jan 2010
Grants of up to £500 are available to primary and secondary schools in England to develop activities linked to the ‘Who Do We Think We Are?’ Week programme for 2010.
Who Do We Think We Are? is part of the Communication, Collaboration and Citizenship strand of Get Set and it provides advice and curriculum support that helps schools explore issues of identity, diversity and citizenship with their students at the local and national scales through four key themes:
- School and community
- Relationships, belonging and faith
- History and settlement
- Britishness, national identity/values and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
The programme culminates in a national week of events and activities taking place this year from 21st – 27th June 2010.
During 2009, the project awarded 10 grants to maintained schools across the English regions to develop activities and schools in England are again being offered the opportunity to apply for grants to develop activities linked to the focus week in June 2010.
But you only have a few weeks to get your application in! The grant application deadline is 12th February.
