Students from Southfields Community College found out what else is planned for London 2012 as part of BBC School News Report!
It's not all about sport!
7 Dec 2010
Two students from Southfields Community College took a trip to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to find out what is planned for London 2012 besides sport!
The students interviewed Ruth Mackenzie, Director of the Cultural Olympiad, Tony Hall, Chair of the Cultural Olympiad Board and Jeremy Gilley, a filmmaker who is working on Peace One Day.
The students found out about many cultural projects that are planned for London 2012 and heard that over 1,000 events will take place all over the UK, known as Festival 2012.
The two students came to the conclusion that everyone should get involved in London 2012 as it is not just about sport, it is about bringing the world together through art and culture too.
