Top tips for the Make Your Mark Challenge
26 Oct 2008

It is not too late to register – you’d be bananas to miss it! To get you in the swing of things we’ve put together some top tips for those taking part.
Imagine, it’s the morning of 17 November 2008, the Challenge has just been revealed and you have just one day to come up with an idea that fits the brief. Remember – no idea is a bad idea! Try using some of the following techniques to get you thinking creatively:

LOVE IT – often ideas come out of things people know and love. What interests you? Imagine turning your passion into work…it certainly won’t just be another day at the office.

INSIDE OUT – you’ve got an idea, but you’re not sure if it’s any good. Think about the worst ways to take your idea forward, then turn the answers inside out to reveal the best ways! Ever hear of stupid suggestions such as a chocolate tea pot?

WHAT WINDS YOU UP? – do you ever think, I could do so much better? Maybe you could. Think about the things in life that annoy you – what could you do to change them?

SOMETHING’S MISSING – is there anything that would make your life better? What should be there but isn’t?

And finally, remember to play to your strengths and involve all members of the team – everyone will have something different contribute.
