EDF Energy believe that success should be celebrated and so they have launched their Awards. Winning schools could receive £5000 to put towards projects to make their school even greener.
EDF Energy launch their Awards
5 Nov 2008
The Awards will be judged by a panel including Gethin Jones and Olympians Louis Smith and Liz Johnson.
Six national Award winners will each receive £5000 to help their school realise their sustainability ambitions, with £1000 for 12 runners up. Selected winners will then be presented with their prize by a member of the judging panel.
There are three categories – with one winner for ages 7-11 years and one winner for 11-14 years within each category:
- Inspirational School
- Inspirational Class or Pupil team
- Inspiration Teacher
Do you know a teacher who has introduced a great new idea for tackling climate change or a class that has inspired the rest of the school to take real action? Had your school helped other schools to get started on their journey towards sustainability? If so, the EDF Energy judging panel would love to hear from you!
