The prize draw is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- The prize draw is open to every school and college in the North West of England (Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside)that has registered properly to be part of the London 2012 education programme, Get Set.
- Entry to the prize draw is submitted either by posting a blog on the Get Set website between Friday 22nd May and Friday 3rd July 2009.
- Schools and colleges can post as many blogs as they want to during the competition period.
- The prize will be a trip for a limited number of students (between 1 and 5) to visit the Olympic Park, as part of a regional tour, later in the 2009. The date will be confirmed once the competition has closed.
- It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winning place of learning agrees that LOCOG has no liability in relation to the competition or the prize other than that which it cannot exclude by law. LOCOG and other involved partners accept no responsibity for the health, safety, care and welfare of the class or accompanying adults at any point during the trip, to the extent permitted by law.
- LOCOG will not be insuring the trip and recommends that the winning place of learning ensures that all people on the trip are covered by adequate insurance.
- Finalists will be selected following the closing date, and invited to a celebration evening in the week commencing 13 July. Winners will be selected during the evening.
- LOCOG’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence regarding the competition will be entered into.
- The winner will be notified within 14 days of the close of competition.
- f the winner is unable to be contacted, LOCOG reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
- Entrants agree that should they win they shall take part in any reasonable post-competition publicity if LOCOG or the North West RDA wishes them to do so.
- LOCOG reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its absolute discretion.
- This prize is promoted by The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited (“LOCOG”) whose registered office is at One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London E14 5LN.
- This prize has no cash value and is non-transferable.
- Nothing in these terms affects a person’s statutory rights.
- English law applies.
