- Map of the Olympic Park – Map of the Olympic Park - 339.40kb
- Images of the Venues: Stadium, Aquatics Centre, Velodrome, IBC/MPC, Athletes’ Village, Energy Centre and Parklands
Look at the map on an interactive whiteboard or download copies for everyone to work with. Make a collection of photos about the Venues and annotate the map with a picture of the venue. Finally design a key showing the sports and events that will take place at each venue.
Outcomes
- Make an annotated wall display of London 2012 venues
- Work in small groups to make a powerpoint or other multimedia presentation which gives an overview of the Olympic Park.
Extension
- Include three key facts about the construction of each of the venues.

- Show the different fact files and then choose one which interests you.
- What kind of information would you want to know if you were thinking of applying for a job like this? What special skills and qualities might a worker need to do their job well?

These could be compiled into a job portfolio: ‘Opportunities at the Olympic Park’

- Look at the leaflet ‘The Construction Crew’ and the poster ‘Opportunities’ and find out about people working on the Olympic Park
- Design an eye-catching poster aimed at young people living in the area which encourages them to apply for a job working on the Olympic Park.
