Lead the way

This is your chance to make a real difference to your school and everyone in it, and we want you to take the lead in making it happen. It’s fine for the teachers or other adults to help – in fact that will be really important – but we want you – the students – to take real responsibility for the application.

All you have to do is tell us how some or all of the Olympic and Paralympic Values such as friendship, respect or excellence are already helping people in your school community. For example, how has ‘friendship’ helped the children and adults in your school to feel safe and welcome? Or how do you know that everyone is treated equally and with respect in your school? Is everyone determined to try hard and do well?

The next step is to think about and make a short plan of action to see how you can build on your good work in the future.

But one step at a time… You’ll need to work as a team.

Form a Get Set network team

You could become the champions of change in your school by forming a special team to take on the application and have a lot of fun along the way.

There might be just four of you to begin with. Maybe there is already a larger group of people that is keen to join in, such as your Student Council or another after group that represents the views of the pupils, or a school club.

Your mission is to see if your school and your families can live a healthier, happier life inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Values.
