The power of three!
The designers of the Olympic Torch were inspired by the theme of ‘the power of three’.
This is the third time the Games have been held in London.
There are three Olympic Values: respect, friendship and excellence.
There are three words in the Olympic Motto: ‘faster higher, stronger’.
And so… the London 2012 Olympic Torch has three sides!
These number activities are also about the number three.
- Draw three perfect triangles in the sand tray and write the number ‘3’.
- Make three triangles out of plasticine or building blocks.
- Draw three Olympic Torches.
