Seb Coe visits Bradford

Design a venue for a new Olympic or Paralympic sport.

Your first challenge:

Imagine that a sport not previously included in the Olympic or Paralympic Games is now to be included. The venue is to be sited in the Olympic Park. You will need to conduct research into the sport and come up with design criteria relating to the design values and generate a design brief.

Produce designs and evaluate these against the criteria and modify.

Make a scale model and an outline plan of how it is to be realised.

Your second challenge: public Art in the Olympic Park

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London: ‘Part of the greater legacy of the 2012 Games will be the Olympic Park, a magnificent green space for East London. The ODA’s bold art programme will not only enhance the area and give it a strong identity, it will also play a large role in attracting Londoners and tourists long after the Games are over and support its regeneration.’
