Find images of both venues and to locate them on the Olympic Park plan. Using the information pages can you summarise the purpose of each of the venues?

What design features have you discovered which you think are particularly innovative and/or promote sustainability?

Outcome

Focus on one of the venues and to imagine they are part of a design team which is pitching to build a similar venue for another major sporting event. Design a mood board or display which promotes one of these venues and to feature the commitment to sustainability and its ‘cutting-edge’ design.

Extension

Nominate four or five students to represent their future ‘client’. Students give a brief presentation supporting their design ideas and try to persuade their client to choose their design.
