1. We, The London Organsing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited, are referred to below as “LOCOG”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”.

General rules

2. By applying for and using Tickets via the London 2012 Ticketshare scheme (“Ticketshare”) you (“You”) are accepting the London 2012 Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase (“Terms and Conditions”), which are available on the website www.tickets.london2012.com, and from all official box offices. All capititalised words shall have the meaning set out in the Terms and Conditions. Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully. By applying for a Ticket you are certifying that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions and agree to bring them to the attention of others. By accepting, holding or using a Ticket, a Ticket Holder is certifying that he or she has read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions including, in particular, the following:

2.1 A Ticket grants a personal right of entry to a Venue to attend and to occupy a space or seat at a Session. Each Ticket Holder should keep his or her Tickets with them at all times. Tickets shall remain the property of LOCOG.

2.2 Save as expressly authorised by LOCOG, Tickets are STRICTLY NON-TRANSFERABLE and MUST NOT BE SOLD (including by way of auction) nor advertised for sale. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, fundraising or marketing purposes (including in competitions, contests and sweepstakes)

2.3 Tickets purchased or obtained from or through Persons other than directly from LOCOG (or from a Person authorised by LOCOG) and otherwise than in accordance with the Terms and Conditions shall be VOID and may be SEIZED or CANCELLED WITHOUT REFUND OR ENTRY TO A SESSION. Any Person seeking to use a Ticket obtained in breach of the Terms and Conditions in order to gain entry to or remain at a Session may be considered a trespasser, may be ejected and may face legal action;

2.4 Each Ticket Holder acknowledges that Sessions may be delayed, interrupted, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled (ie not held at all). Reference should be made to the Terms and Conditions for refund eligibility and procedure. There will be no on-site (including official LOCOG box offices) refunds. Except as required by law, none of LOCOG, any Authorised Ticket Retailer (ATR), any Games Bodies or any other Person involved in the organisation of the Games shall have any further liability to a Ticket Holder beyond the face value of the Ticket purchased;

2.5 You acknowledge and accept the risks and dangers inherent in attending a Session. You are responsible for Your personal property and Your own safety and You are responsible for the safety, conduct and actions of any accompanying children, young adults or vulnerable persons aged 18 or under. Ticket Holders have responsibility for complying with these Terms and Conditions and LOCOG reserves the unrestricted right to terminate the licence granted by a Ticket.

2.6 You release LOCOG, Authorised Ticket Resellers, Venue owners and the Games Bodies from any liability for any loss or damage to personal property you may suffer in relation to attendance at a Venue;

2.7 Ticket Holders agree to abide by LOCOG’s Spectator Policy, including the list of prohibited and restricted items that may not be brought into a Venue and the list of forbidden behaviour. You consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded by LOCOG, the IOC, or third parties appointed or authorised by them. LOCOG, the IOC, or third parties appointed or authorised by them shall, without being required to pay money or other form of consideration, have the right to broadcast, publish, license and use any such photographs, films or recordings of you in perpetuity; and

2.8 Each Ticket Holder agrees that he or she may be subject to security searches in order to ensure safety at a Session.

Get Set Ticketshare applications

4. To apply for and/or distribute Tickets via Ticketshare, Your school/college must be a member of the London 2012 Get Set network. By accepting the London 2012 Ticketshare terms and conditions, You are applying for Ticketshare Tickets, and You confirm and warrant that parents/guardians of all children have consented and/or will consent to You applying for and/or using the Tickets and that they have read, understood and accepted these rules and the Terms and Conditions, including the provisions relating to responsibility for children, young adults and vulnerable persons. If requested by us, You shall provide evidence of the children’s age to us.

5. Only one application per school will be permitted and any multiple or subsequent entries will be void.

6. You may only apply for Tickets as an individual school. Any entries which in Our opinion have been made via participation in a syndicate will be disqualified. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

7. By applying for Ticketshare Tickets, You commit to distributing Tickets to students and accompanying adults in a reasonable, fair and transparent way, in accordance with the Ticketshare guidelines provided by Us. The London 2012 Ticketshare scheme is intended to ensure that children and young people aged 10-18 from Your school receive Ticketshare Tickets. We shall permit a reasonable number of accompanying adults to attend. However, by applying for Ticketshare Tickets You commit to ensure that, as a priority, as many children and young people aged 10-18 from Your school receive Ticketshare Tickets. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all applications and request information on who the Tickets shall be distributed to, including names of the children. You further acknowledge that We are the sole supplier of all Tickets for the Games and have the right to determine, at Our sole discretion, the number of Tickets and the classification of Tickets for all Sessions. If We, in our sole discretion, consider that Ticketshare Tickets are not being received by children or young people aged 10-18 from Your school, We reserve the right to refuse entry.

8. The closing date for London 2012 Ticketshare applications is Friday 16 December 2011. Applications received after that closing date will not be considered.
Some other rules

9. By applying for Tickets via Ticketshare You agree to take part in or co-operate with a reasonable amount of publicity or other promotional activity and agree that We may publish Your school name and address, and any photographs, films and/or recordings made by Us or on Our behalf and featuring You and/or Your Entry.

10. We take no responsibility for any applications that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the application to the Get Set network is not proof of receipt.

11. We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Ticketshare scheme with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). Our decision in all matters under our control is final and binding.

12. We shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside our reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

13. We shall keep Your personal details for a reasonable time so that we can operate the Ticketshare scheme and verify that the Terms and Conditions have been complied with, as well as for accounting purposes. We may pass Your details on to our service providers and agents to facilitate Your participation in Ticketshare. Any personal data relating to You will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and in accordance with our Ticketing Privacy Policy.
