Students are invited to develop and deliver their very own ‘mini-Games’ and in the process learn how to work as a team to achieve their goals. Sporty or not, everyone has a role to play to make their Games a success. The ‘mini Games’ include opening and closing ceremonies and a wide range of sport and physical activity.

Who is it for?

Primary and secondary schools across Leeds, West Yorkshire.

More about the programme

Playing for Gold allows children and young people to engage with and learn about the history and Values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Using play and educational activities, children will make a connection with the Games and have lots of fun in the process. The programme will be delivered throughout Bradford’s Local Communities, within primary schools and in school holiday clubs during the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Who is it for?

Young people aged 8-14 in the Bradford district.
