EMPowered is an East Midlands legacy project for young people. It matches the Olympic and Paralympic Values to the seven events of the women’s Heptathlon. Having read about a set of athletes, each term young people are invited to submit a discursive or creative response exploring the Olympic and Paralympic Values. Each term there is a prize for the best submission from a primary school student and a secondary school student.
The current focus of the competition is inspiration and the high jump. Young people can submit their entries from 1 October.
