Shelly is one of the UK’s top wheelchair racers, who competed in three events at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. She has her sights set on London 2012.

Sporting heroes: Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Dame Kelly Holmes and Paula Radcliffe

Sporting career: Shelly competed in three events at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, winning a silver medal in the 1500m and a bronze medal in the 5000m.

She holds the British Marathon Record and won the London Marathon in 2007!
