EDF Energy’s ‘the Pod’ is a free online education programme for teachers offering lesson plans, resource packs and activities that can be used with a small group, a class or a whole school. All activities have been accredited by Eco-Schools and will count towards their bronze, silver or green flag awards

Discovering Places – Meet the Species

Meet the Species has set its own Olympic and Paralympic-sized challenge to search for a list of 2,012 UK species including plants, animals, lichens and fungi and we need your help!

Be inspired by the natural history experts at the London 2012 Olympic Park who’ve been surveying the species there to ensure the Park is fit for wildlife. We can all carry on their work in our local environment and learn more about the amazing wildlife all around us, with Meet the Species.
