Learn about the competing teams

Our interactive map helps you to learn about the competing teams of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You can:

  • search the map by Olympic or Paralympic teams, or countries involved in the International Inspiration programme.
  • find teams that are training in your local area, or teams that speak a language that is spoken within your school.

Once you have found a team, Olympic and Paralympic facts and figures will appear below the map to give you more information about your team.

Top Tips:

  • Your school can support one Olympic team and one Paralympic team
  • Teachers can follow multiple teams
  • The ‘Team Select’ tool will guide you through a series of questions that may help you in choosing your teams.
  • Ensure that you are logged in to Get Set and select ‘support this team’ (your whole school is supporting them) or ‘follow this team’ (as an individual) in the Team Information area.
